HOLD / FORM makes hair clips around the daily gestures that give them meaning: gathering hair at the nape, closing a clasp one-handed, leaving a single barrette in place until evening. A good piece has a clear purpose before it has decoration. It closes smoothly, respects the hair it holds and gives a simple style a finished line.

Acetate gives a claw warmth, weight and translucent color. A metal barrette creates a finer, firmer line. Velvet adds a soft edge without a hard shine. We describe the material, size and best-use guidance for every piece so that you can choose a clip for the texture and amount of hair you actually have — not only for an image.

We do not make one shape in twenty colors. Each form in the line begins with a different way hair needs to be held: broad teeth for a relaxed twist, a snap base for a fringe, a long barrette for a clean part, a bow for a little softness without a costume.
